It will not only get you all of the catalog names and your customer numbers, it will also show you how much junk you get in one month. You'll need a box, it's a lot! For catalog junk mail, www.catalogchoice.org is a free site where you sign up and right away start clicking yourself off of every catalog's mailing lists. It's is more effective if you have your customer number from the front of catalogs. If you don't have a customer number, this site still works but it takes them a little more time.
For other junk mail like Super Savers, go to www.stopjunkmail.org . It is a free site that lets you download pre-addressed form letters for companies that send you junk mail. You print letters out, fill in your name, staple it closed and send it off.
You can also try www.greendimes.com They charge $15.00 to do the work for you. You still need to fill out a few things but they make it really easy.
