Help Haiti
Dear Parents,                                                             January 15, 2010 In response to the unfolding events in Haiti, you will find a box at the entry to Palisades Elementary labeled "Ten Things for Haiti." The items we collect will be placed in a container and trucked to Miami, where it will be shipped to Port-au-Prince. The contents will be distributed to two orphanages, ANA Children's Center and Brebis de Saint Michelle, as well as the communities surrounding these facilities. These ten specific items will be of greatest assistance to the children: 25 or 50 pound bag of rice (Costco or Smart and Final) Dry Beans Milk Powder Liquid Formula Peanut Butter (in plastic jars) Dried Meat Spaghetti Cooking Oil Bleach Tablets or Liquid Multivitamins This collection is being organized by a group of parents who have adopted children from Haiti as well as a wide circle of friends. Donations are being collected at several Westside locations. Cash donations to assist with shipment can be made at www.lime-aid.tv, and will be received through the 501c3 Global Water Trust and are tax deductible. More ways to help: Here are additional resources to make a financial donation to assist with Haiti Disaster Relief: 1. www.msnbc.msn.com/id/34835478/ns/world_news-haiti_earthquake/ 2.
