Principal's Message
Dear Parents:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â February 21, 2010
Science Fair:Â The second annual Science Fair last Wednesday morning was amazing. There were students from all grade levels participating and our volunteer panels of UCLA doctors and scientists did the judging. Enormous thanks go to Drs. Prim and Mrs. Aspey who prepared and motivated our kids. The project experiments were quite varied and highly interesting. Did you know that you could puncture a balloon and have it not pop?Â
Â
Founders Day:Â Our PTA Founders Day Awards luncheon was last Thursday in the school library. Current and past parents, staff and community members attended this special event that has been an annual tradition since 1984. A huge show of appreciation and thanks were given to the individuals whose volunteerism and dedication are "Above and Beyond"! This year's PTA Honorary Service Awards went to parents Kathleen Clinesmith, Kristine Doty, Risa Kleyweg, Robyn Shev, Gwenn Victor and teachers Christy Haga and Loan Panza.Â
Governing Council:Â Our monthly meeting will take place this Thursday, February 25 at 2:00 p.m. All are invited to attend and participate in this vital governing aspect of our school.
Yours truly,Â
Joan Ingle, Principal
